Patriot’s new SF-1222TA3-SBH based Inferno 120GB SSD features Sandforce’s DuraClass technology, meaning that it has a number of features designed to extend the life of the drive as well as prevent dips in speed due to the collection of garbage sectors over time and other neat tricks like real-time loss-less compression. In ThinkComputer’s testing they saw ATTO scores of 286MB/s write and 275MB/s read, making this SSD a rather good choice if you can find it for a good price.
“We just started working with Patriot with our review of the Xporter XT Rage 32B Flash Drive. Well today we have another storage product from them, the Inferno 120GB Solid State Drive. This solid state drive is based off the SandForce SF-1200 controller. If you have been following solid state drives over the past year you know that the SandForce controller is what everyone is using in their new drives. This drive boasts read speeds up to 285MB/s, write speeds up to 275MB/s, native TRIM support and integrated DuraClass Technology. Let’s check out the Inferno and see how it performs compared t o other SandForce-based drives.”Here are some more Storage reviews from around the web:
