Many rejoiced in the PC community this morning along with family and friends as we heard the news that our own fearless leader, Ryan Shrout, married Kelly Barnett last night!  The outdoor wedding was beautiful, the bride looked exceptionally gorgeous, and a wonderful evening was had by all who attended the reception.

Most of you know Ryan as the owner of PCPerspective.com and guru of computer hardware.  However, underneath that geeky exterior lies a kind hearted man who cares as much (if not more) about family and friends as he does about all the latest hardware and electronic toys (tools).  Here is their story.

Kelly:

I wasn’t sure if I believed in fate before Ryan came along.  There is no other way to describe the circumstances that led to the beginning of our relationship.  Both of us were newly single, his fraternity was paired with my sorority for Homecoming at UK, and there he was to help me off the float we were building for the parade.  Not long after we met we had our first date of dinner and pumpkin carving back at his place.  That date led to many other dates before I knew it we were building a house and moved in together to Florence, Kentucky.

When our third anniversary rolled around, Ryan gave me a map of New York City with the Rockefeller Center circled on it.  We flew to NYC the week before Christmas and while ice skating under the most beautiful Christmas tree I’d ever seen in my life, Ryan proposed 🙂  It was like a fairy tale.  I can’t wait to be married to the man of my dreams and see what our future holds.

Ryan:

Our meeting that night was indeed one of great chance as neither of us was on the look out for a relationship.  But with the help of some friends and a bit of luck our relationship quickly grew into friendship and then into love.

We already share a home, a family (Reese!) and I’m looking forward to sharing my life with her!  We were and remain pretty much inseparable and I can’t wait to finally marry and continue our long journey together.
