G.SKILL And ASUS Raise The Bar, DDR5-8888 CL88 Overclocking World Record

DDR5-8888 CL88-88-88-88

The timings aren’t great obviously, but DDR5 can hit amazingly high frequencies.  In order to hit this record breaking frequency on G.SKILL’s Trident Z5 DDR5 memory, they paired it with an ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 APEX motherboard, a Core i9-12900K and just a dash of liquid nitrogen.

It has taken several months to achieve this, the previous record of DDR5-8704 was set back in November and it will take even longer for you to see DDR5 kits with anywhere near this frequency being sold publicly.  It does demonstrate that DDR5 does have plenty of headroom to grow and one hopes to tighten up the timings somewhat.
