Rated To Work With The Blackmagic URSA Mini PRO 12K Camera

Samsung would like you to consider their new T7 Shield external USB 3.2 Gen 2 portable SSD for your data needs on the go.  It comes in 1TB, 2TB and 4TB versions all of which are IP65 rated so you can get it wet and sandy and not be worried, though don’t submerge it in the ocean.  It is also rated to provide over 900 MB/s sequential write even when pretty much full.  This is important for recording 12K as that is the minimum speed required to properly capture everything.

TweakTown have already tested the 1TB model and are now taking some time to investigate the 4TB model.  Their testing proved the boast to be worthy, keeping over 1000 MB/s in their testing and out performing the 1TB model.  The drive really showed off it’s stuff in their 100GB file copy, where it offered 50% higher performance than the smaller model.

If you have a 12K camera, or something a little less crazy, the Samsung T7 is a solid choice for where to store those recordings!

Samsung is upping its portable game with its new 4TB T7 Shield, designed to deliver high sustained write speeds, broad compatibility, and massive capacity.
