I have watched you guys for decades, new faces, old faces, and you have a great sense of humor. I have travelled the world and I have found Canadians to be some of the best people in the world. My favorite hockey team back in the 80’s was the Montreal Canadians (never went to Canada) Molson beer was ok, compared to a Weiss bier and the current Trudeau is a douche as all the current Canadians say…As an American out of the Country, I say that I am Canadian. Anyway, my point is this, this is the time to steal every note, nugget, dress and call it theft because the empire is crumbling. I am glad I am not in America but I have a lot of friends there and I hope Canada does not get caught up in american politics. That dent might not rub out. Cheers mate Computing since 1984.

In reply to Kent Burgess. Enjoyed the article Kent. The third and fourth charts could do with an extra row at the top to make it obvious which one was 'noise normalised' and '100% fan speed'. I like the fact that I can estimate temps for my 5950x at eco, normal and PBO etc at a glance.

The first statement should have read “began to notice”. You are correct on the second. I believe they were in the word document and just got lost somewhere along the way, but perhaps I accidentally edited them out in my final draft. I’ll have to check later.

Other than the editting issues, what is your opinion on the new testing? Ì’d like to hear some feedback.

2nd paragraph of ‘Performance Testing’ – “One thing that I began to as” , i think you meant “began to measure as”.

a little further down “One other note is that I would like to address the point 42 dB may seem high” – did you mean to say “One other note I would like to address is that 42 dB may seem high” ?

Microsoft’s argument that logging in with a Microsoft account provides security fails at the very basic premise of security. Even from Microsoft we are told NOT to use the same logon password for multiple accounts, yet here is Microsoft pushing for one account with a single password for all accounts\services related to Microsoft online service, including your PC and the possible home network it is on. A single point of entry for compromising your PC, network, related Microsoft services including OneDrive data, BitLocker encryption keys, ability to change your password, reconfigure dashboard settings…etc. In addition Microsoft is automatically starting OneDrive and copying files to the cloud, without permission.

This is very bad advice, a hard pass for me!!!!

Great sense of humor, Jeremy! That was enjoyable readings. One note: “it’s” is a contraction for “it is” or “it has” or “it was”. You’re using a possessive “its”, (“as people realize just how limited it’s usefulness is”) which does not have an apostrophe.

It’s 2024, 2,75 is sff territory nowadays. It’s a freaking joke. Would it kill them to give it a an INCH wider footprint? The way the graphic card market is evolving – you’re gonna have trouble fitting a mainstream 5060 model in there come next year.

It kinda gives me ‘lifestyle speaker’ or ‘air purifier’ vibes but generally I like it. Particularly the more subtle LED light through that comes through the fabric.

If any case manufactures are listening, if we could get more cases that just generally look good and blend in and not scream pro gamer that would be nice.
