Get A Woody With A Corsair One i500 Prebuilt Gaming Desktop
A Limited i9-14900K, An RTX 4080 SUPER, But No Thunderbolt
The look of the wooden front of the Corsair One i500 will add a great look to any computer room, and to encourage you Corsair are selling it with a complete system inside. That gives you a way to get a fully configured system that shouldn’t suffer thermal issues, as long as you are willing to fork over a fair bit of cash. The system offered to Guru3D for review certainly has impressive components, including a MSI MAG B760M Mortar WIFI with 32GB of DDR5-6000, an RTX 4080 SUPER and a Core i9-14900K. That i9-14900K has had a power limit applied to control the immense amount of heat the CPU produces, which seems to have dropped the peak performance about 10% below the theoretical capabilities of the CPU.
The system is modifiable at purchase, and you can upgrade it once you have it in hand. Due to the layout though, it is apparently recommended you send your One i500 system back to Corsair to upgrade the GPU. The reason for this is likely due to the size, at 15.3 x 11.8 x 7.6″ (391 x 300 x 185 mm), it is a tight fit in there.
Although it's less unique now, it still boasts powerful hardware, including an i9-14900K processor and an RTX 4080 SUPER graphics card. To control temperatures, the CPU's power is limited. Notably, the latest model lacks Thunderbolt connectivity, a feature some users might miss.
