AMD Inside, So Definitely Not A NUC
Now that Intel has left the market, we are seeing a number of NUC-like devices for sale. One is the ACEMAGIC AM20 Mini PC, powered by a Ryzen 7 7735H and Radeon 680M, 32 GB DDR5 and support for two NVMe drives and a laptop HDD. The ports are impressive, with a pair of 2.5GBe ethernet ports, a pair of HDMI ports, four USB-A ports, a single USB-C, a combo audio jack and even Qi wireless charger on the top!
That is a lot of things to shove inside the 107 x 107 x 38mm (4.2 x 4.2 x 1.5″) AM20 Mini PC and still keep the thermals under control. The Guru of 3D’s exhaustive testing proved that you should have no worries about throttling, the cooling solution is up to the task. It is however a little loud under full load, which you should be aware of before considering purchasing this tiny computer. At $565 it compares well to similar laptops, albeit with a much smaller footprint.
The ACEMAGIC AM20 is a compact mini PC tailored for low-level gaming and standard work-related tasks. Despite its diminutive size, this device offers robust performance, boasting a Ryzen 7 7735H APU integrated with Radeon Graphics, 32GB of memory, Wifi6E support, dual 2.5 GIGe Ethernet ports, and a 10W wireless Qi charger positioned on the top surface of the mini-PC.
