Intel Introduces NUC 13 Pro: Arena Canyon Brings Faster 4×4 Options
You Don’t Need a Big Footprint to Get Work Done
Intel is launching the latest iteration of their classic 4×4 Next Unit of Computing design, with the new NUC 13 Pro lineup offered as complete systems, barebone kits, or simply the system board.
As one might expect from the name, these are powered by 13th Gen Core processors, with the top option a 12-core, 16-thread (4P+8E) Core i7-1370P vPro CPU. There are non-vPro options as well, with Core i7, Core i5, and Core i3 SKUs. There are up to 96 EUs (Core i7 SKUs) of Intel Iris Xe graphics available, and Intel is offering support for up to 64GB of dual-channel DDR4 memory with these new NUCs.
As usual, the Intel chassis this generation is offered in both “tall” (with expansion bay) and “slim” form-factors.
NUC 13 Pro Mini PC features include (via Intel):
- Support for up to 64GB dual-channel DDR4-3200 MHz memory
- M.2 slots for PCIe x4 Gen 4 NVMe SSD and second SSD
- Intel i226 Ethernet for speeds up to 2.5 Gbps
- Intel Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3
- Two HDMI ports and two Thunderbolt 4 ports (four displays at 4K@60 Hz)
- Three USB 3.2 ports and one USB 2.0 port

As mentioned above, these NUC 13 Pro units will be available as either barebone kits or configured systems, with pricing ranging from $340 to $1080 USD. As to availability, Intel states that “some SKU configurations will be available through retailers and system integrators in late March, with most configurations available by June”.
