More Power To The ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER OC Edition

Find This Card’s Max Headroom

The ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER OC Edition is as long as it’s name, just under a foot long and weighing in at 2 pounds 9 ½ ounces.   As you can infer by the name it comes overclocked out of the box with a 120MHz increase versus stock which gives it a Boost clock of 2595MHz.  As is common with cards of this generation there is no overclock on the memory.  With ‘military spec’ components and three 92mm fans you should see sustained GPU frequencies when gaming, and it won’t be loud either.

There is more headroom on this card though, The FPS Review used ASUS GPU Tweak III (which you can learn more about in the link below) to push the GPUCore voltage up 30% and the power target by 15%.  That allowed them to squeeze an additional 203MHz out of the GPU for a rated Boost of 2768MHz and the memory by an impressive amount, a 1.5GHz increase to bring the memory to 22.5GHz.

That certainly had a positive effect on the performance, as you can see here.

One rather refreshing part of this release is the RTX 4070 Super has the same MSRP as the previously released RTX 4070. Of course, as always, customization and overclocking do affect the price, so check around. The ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER OC Edition is one of six different RTX 4070 Super cards available from ASUS.
