Corsair’s AMD Powered Voyager a1600 Gaming Laptop
Looking For A 16″ 2560×1600 IPS Laptop With A 240Hz Refresh?
Corsair have released the Voyager a1600 gaming laptop with a 5.0GHz Ryzen 9 6900HS and it’s integrated Radeon 6800M GPU with 12GB GDDR6. The laptop comes with not one, but two Thunderbolt 3 ports, in addition to a single USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port and a single USB-A 3.1 Gen 1 port. If you prefer wired networking you will be saddened to hear the Voyager a1600 only offers Intel Wi-Fi 6e AX211 and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.
The onboard GPU doesn’t do amazingly well at gaming, you certainly can use it for gaming but your performance won’t match a laptop with a discrete GPU. It is worth mentioning that while the performance doesn’t match a laptop with a physical GPU, the battery life is fairly similar, TechPowerUp saw just under an hour of battery life while gaming. 276 minutes for general usage is not bad, but certainly won’t get you through a full day of work.
The keyboard is rather impressive, especially if you are a fan of per-key lighting as are the S-Keys and mini display. Get more details in the full review.
